This technical constraint meant that millions of internet users around the world, particularly in non-Latin script communities such as Arabic, Cyrillic, Devanagari, Chinese, and others, faced significant barriers to navigating and utilizing domain names in their native languages. These adoption gaps highlight the need for ongoing policy and infrastructural support, including multilingual user interfaces, universal acceptance initiatives, and training for registrars and developers.
